The Middle School Experience
We encourage students to ask hard questions
and dig deeper.
We know that learning is active. We know that active involvement – intellectual, physical, and social – is key to effective learning.
Confidence and academic capabilities soar when students take on projects that are challenging and require critical thinking. Middle School students explore environmental science of water in ways that are theoretical and practical, and construct their understanding of the atomic model, chemical interactions, and the law of physics that govern matter in space. At Poughkeepsie Day School, students are encouraged to think critically, demonstrate their findings, and share concepts and ideas in both discussions and presentations.
