The Fund for PDS

The Fund for PDS (previously knows as the PDS Annual Fund) is the school’s top fundraising priority. Gifts to the Fund for PDS flow through the annual operating budget to support our flexible tuition program, campus renewal, and a rich, integrated learning experience, including: field trips, student productions, music, art, technology and media, science, extracurriculars, faculty professional development – practically everything that enhances the learning experience at PDS. Make your gift online today!

Participation Counts

Each year all members of the PDS community – trustees, parents, alumni, faculty and staff, grandparents, parents of alumni, businesses and other friends – are invited to support innovative learning through a gift to the Fund for PDS. High rates of participation by trustees, parents and alumni are especially important to securing grants from private foundations and corporations. That’s why even small gifts make a big difference. When it comes to participation, every gift, large or small, is equal in impact.

Bridging the Gap and Maintaining a Truly Distinguished Experience

Poughkeepsie Day School uses a budget model typical for most independent schools. To achieve strategic program objectives, maintain a tuition level competitive with other schools, and to move towards creating a learning community which includes families from all backgrounds, this model must set tuition at a level lower than the full cost of operating the school. The Fund for PDS helps cover this difference while supporting the learning opportunities that distinguish a PDS education.
