Pan Seared Brussels Sprouts

Why have boring boiled Brussels sprouts when you can have the rich, nutty flavor of roasted sprouts instead? Trim and cut in half lengthwise Brussels sprouts, toss them in olive oil with chopped garlic, salt and pepper. In a hot skillet sear them with cut side down until they turn dark brown on one side, then bake them in a 400 degree oven for ten minutes until softened. Simple food with bold flavor!
