Founded in 2011 by Ken McGloin and Bill Fiore, PDS Jazz Camp serves students from various school districts throughout Dutchess, Ulster, and beyond during a 1 week session on the beautiful campus of Poughkeepsie Day School. We have a faculty of talented jazz musicians that are both teachers and working artists. PDS Jazz Camp welcomes all learners: students 12 to 18 years old, beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. Our goal is to broaden knowledge of jazz band and combo playing; improve theory and improvisation skills. We expect everyone to respect each other; participants are all at different levels in playing and we encourage students to support each other.
