Which Admission Plan?

Colleges use various types of admission plans that prescribe when students must submit their application and when they receive a decision. For students planning on applying using an early admission plan, it is crucial to examine program options carefully. Make sure to know the difference between the non-restrictive programs, where students are free to apply at will to other colleges, and the restrictive programs, where students must follow the rules designated by each college. There can be advantages to applying under an early plan. Applying early can reveal demonstrated interest, and in some cases can increase a student’s chances of getting in.
