Poughkeepsie Day School will hold an Installation Ceremony for Benedict Chant as its new head of school on Saturday, September 17, from 5:00 to 7:00pm, in Gilkeson Center.

The evening will kick off with cocktails and appetizers at 5:00pm in the Holford Learning Commons. The ceremony, which will begin at 6:00pm in the James Earl Jones Theater, will include formal presentations by Amanda Thornton, president, Poughkeepsie Day School Board of Trustees; Suzanne Fogarty, head of Lincoln School in Providence RI; Barbara Swanson, associate director for professional development, New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS) and alum parent; Amie Anderson, Poughkeepsie Day School Alumna 2006; and Mary Ellen Kenny, assistant head of School, Poughkeepsie Day School. Following his installation, Benedict Chant will deliver an address to the assembly.
