By connecting to Poughkeepsie Day School’s Guest WiFi network, you hereby expressly acknowledge and agree to these terms and any applicable laws and regulations.
2. Usage Policy
Users are prohibited from engaging in illegal activities while using the Guest WiFi network, including but not limited to:
- Distributing malware or viruses.
- Accessing or transmitting illegal content.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other networks or devices.
3. Network Security
Our Guest WiFi is an open wireless network, and therefore unencrypted. By connecting to our Guest WiFi, users assume the security risks of using of any open wireless network. Users are responsible for their own devices, data, and up-to-date security software. Poughkeepsie Day School is not responsible for any software downloaded or websites accessed through our Guest WiFi.
The transmission of any sensitive data, including personal, financial, or legal data, while connected to our Guest WiFi is strongly discouraged. Poughkeepsie Day School is not responsible for any damage or compromise of a users data or devices by malicious programs, persons, or websites while connected to our Guest WiFi.
4. Privacy
We do not monitor your internet usage. However, we reserve the right to monitor and shape traffic to ensure network performance and compliance with these terms. For these purposes, we may record information such as your device’s local IP address, MAC address, or vendor.
5. Limitations of Liability
Poughkeepsie Day School is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of the Guest WiFi. We do not guarantee the availability, speed, or reliability of the WiFi service.
6. Termination of Access
We reserve the right to terminate access to the Guest WiFi at any time for any reason, including violation of these terms.
7. Modifications
We may update these terms and conditions without notice. Continued use of the Guest WiFi network after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. By using our Guest WiFi, users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
