Congratulations to our seniors on their college decisions!

The Poughkeepsie Day School College Office is pleased to announce the colleges and universities that our seniors have chosen to attend in the fall. After many years of rigorous academic work, coupled with sincere exploration of ideas, activities and interests, our seniors are now near the high school finish line and ready for their next academic endeavor. They have truly earned their places at this very impressive list of colleges and universities. While for many students it was a very difficult decision, we are confident that they each have chosen wisely.

Many additional schools could have “made the list,” which was necessarily narrowed as students and their families weighed factors such as fit, distance and merit aid (which totaled to over $1.1 million for the class of 2017).

We are excited for them to experience many more years of engaging, fulfilling and challenging learning (and doing) at these institutions:

Bard College
Bates College
Carleton College
Colby College
Cornell University
The George Washington University
Hampshire College
Hobart and Williams Smith Colleges
Howard University
Ithaca College
Johns Hopkins University
Lawrence University
Marist College
Oberlin Conservatory of Music
Pennsylvania State University
University of Rochester
Skidmore College
Stonybrook University
Union College

Congratulations, seniors!
