by Judy Purcell, Pre-k teacher
May has been a busy month in the pre-k class! We have recently started our school community interviews. We are learning about a lot of the people we see around the school but didn’t know. The children brainstormed questions to ask our visitors. So far, we’ve interviewed Debby, the art teacher, Emma, the middle school science teacher and last but not least, Mary Ellen, the lower school head. We’ve learned some very interesting things about each of them. For instance Emma has two daughters and she likes studying insects. She told us she likes spiders but only when they are outside! Debby shared that she loves to make things and is afraid of deep water. Mary Ellen read us one of her favorite books, Miss Rumphius written by Barbara Cooney, and helped us think of ways that we could make the earth more beautiful, too!
