The PDS Parents Association had its first meeting on September 15 at 8:15 a.m. Although this is a convenient time for parents who bring their children to school, we recognize that the 8:15 a.m. start time doesn’t work for everyone. For that reason, we share the minutes of all our meeting on the PDS resources page on MyPDS.org in the Parents Association section. In this section, you will find meeting minutes, a one-pager that details all our events for the year and a list with contact information for Parent Association Leaders, Event Chairs and Classroom Representatives.
Speaking of great volunteers, the PDS Parents Association is still in need of a volunteer to lead the New Book Fair, tentatively scheduled for December. Encouraging children to read is the primary goal of this event, but it also generates funds for the Parents Association to help support Faculty Grants. The role of the event chair is to help determine which book company we will partner with in conjunction with the school and to organize volunteers to staff the event. If you are willing to Chair the event or just willing to lend a hand, please contact PA President Kim Carpenter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
