The PDS Parents Association is trying a new day and time to provide more parents the opportunity to attend our meeting. The original meeting, scheduled on April 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., has been rescheduled to Friday, April 28, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Gilkeson, room 18a. All PDS parents are invited to attend. We will be discussing the success of the Spring Auction, the upcoming Used Book Fair and Teacher Appreciation efforts.
In addition, keep in mind that the Used Book Fair is right around the corner. Spring Cleaning? De-cluttering? We’re here to help! The PDS Parents Association is hosting a USED BOOK SALE. The concept is pretty simple – donate your used books (gently used children’s books, cookbooks, thrillers, fiction, non-fiction, books that you had to read for work, etc.). You can drop them off at the school near the gym doors until May 3rd. The Parents Association will organize the books and hold a sale on May 4-5.
Over the years, parents and students have enjoyed the book fair for several reasons:
· You never know who you will run into at the fair – it is a great chance to reconnect with our PDS community
· The deals can’t be beat and you can “recycle” books that you no longer need
· Fruit Smoothies anyone? Nutritious and delicious – need we say more?
The book fair is a great program because it supports two important PDS PA goals: building a sense of community and enabling the PA to support the Faculty Grant program. Start boxing those books today. Questions? Contact: email@example.com.
