The PDS Annual Fund – many gifts, one purpose

Driving Innovation

The PDS Annual Fund is the school’s top fundraising priority. Gifts to the Annual Fund support innovative learning through the annual operating budget, including field trips, student productions, music, art, technology and media, science, research, athletics – practically everything that enhances the learning experience at PDS. Make your gift online today!

The Annual Fund helps make all of these branches grow.

Participation Counts

Each year all members of the PDS community – trustees, parents, alumni, faculty and staff, grandparents, parents of alumni, businesses and other friends – are invited to support innovative learning at PDS through a gift to the Annual Fund. High rates of Annual Fund participation by trustees, parents and alumni are especially important to securing grants from private foundations and corporations. That’s why even small gifts make a big difference. When it comes to participation, every gift, large or small, is equal in impact.

Bridging the Gap and Creating the Margin of Excellence

Poughkeepsie Day School uses a budget model typical for most independent schools. To achieve strategic program objectives, maintain a tuition level competitive with other schools, and create a learning community which includes families from all backgrounds, this model must set tuition at a level lower than the full cost of operating the school. The PDS Annual Fund helps cover this difference while supporting the learning opportunities that distinguish a PDS education.

The PDS Annual Fund campaign runs from July 1 through June 30. For information about ways to support the PDS Annual Fund, contact Christina Powers, Advancement Associate for Development, at 845.462.7600, ext. 110 or cpowers@poughkeepsieday.org.
