Students are hard at work, rehearsing for the high school spring musical, “City of Angels,” directed by Laura Hicks, high school drama teacher. Two plots intertwine during this musical comedy, the “real” world of the writer striving to turn his book into a screenplay, and the “reel” world of the fictional film. Cy Coleman composed the music, David Zippel created the lyrics and the book is by Larry Gelbart. Their work is a tribute to the film noir genre of motion pictures that were popular in the 1940s.

 

Featured in the pictures are Maddie (Class of 2020), Andrew (Class of 2020),  Diego (Class of 2020), Corinna (Class of 2020), Sam (Class of 2019), Matt (Class of 2018), Claudia (Class of 2017), Rhys (2017)

PDS students will perform “City of Angels” on Friday, April 28 at 7:00pm. We hope you will be there when the curtain rises.
