The academic day for all students begins at 8:15 am and ends at 3:15 pm. For the convenience of families with younger children we offer a free before-school program starting at 7:30 am. We also offer an After Care program for all students grades Pre-K to 6th grade.  The program begins at dismissal and runs until 6:00 pm and provides a nutritional snack. There is a small charge for daily attendance.

After school enrichment classes run for three 8-week terms over the course of the school year. These classes require a separate fee for registration and have included topics like chess, creative movement, yoga, improvisational drama, lego robotics, music ensembles, wilderness skills, ping-pong and much more. The program is scheduled parallel to After-School care, so children can join their peers in After for a healthy snack prior to attending class and have the option to re-join them for some downtime when class ends. The fee for After is waived for PDS students on days that they take an enrichment class.
